This place is soooooo good!!! I work close by the restaurant and have had it catered and also dined in. Parking can be found in the residential area and can sometimes be a bit challenging. The restaurant has a bar and dining area. You basically order your food by the bar and then they bring the food out to your table. There is a self-serve water, utensil, and take out box station which is very convenient. I love their brisket (you can buy by the pound) and smoked jalapeño portobello machaca mac and cheese (my fav!!!). The brisket comes with two slices of bread and pickled onions and cucumbers. We bought half a pound and it was enough to fill up two people. Service is always friendly here too!
If you love BBQ then this is the spot, clean place, friendly staff and extremely juicy tender Beef! We had the brisket and pork ribs, they were delicious! Prices were reasonable, super clean place, paper towels on all tables cause we all know we will get our hands dirty. Over I enjoyed it and will definitely be back. Recommended!
Guys I'm not even joking the food smelled so freeking good that my mom dropped it and it spilt everywhere The restaurant looks like a city-chic million dollar corporation that set themselves up in your great-aunt's basement eat here or else you will regret it for the rest of your life
Bbq was amazing, got it for a family gathering and everyone loved it.Brisket, pork ribs, smoked chicken, and pulled pork were great. It came with coleslaw pickles and pickled onions. The coleslaw was little bland but not terrible. The beans were amazing!! And I'm not even a bean person.
i am from Memphis born and raised; grew up eattling some of the best BBQ in the world. That said, today I had the honor of having the pulled pork sandwich with the house BBQ sauce and coleslaw. Cool looking joint, Good polite service. Clean and appropriate for families. This was by far one of the best BBQ dishes I have had here. The Meat was tender, with a good easy flavor, the charred ends had the perfect bbq flavor. The sauce was spot on. The pickeled onions and pickles were very tasty. Not a fan of the coleslaw, it was very basic. i would recommend this 100%
I love this place. Their high rating is no accident. It's no nonsense BBQ that tastes great. A tremendous step up from Jack's--where we used to go for BBQ. Finding a parking spot on the street can be kind of a bear sometimes, but it's worth the walk if you have to hoof it a few blocks, and you'll be thankful for the walk when you're full and headed back to the car. I typically go for a brisket sandwich when I'm there. The brisket has fantastic flavor, and it's always proven tender. The pulled pork is also good, but I give the brisket the win here. The ribs are also a good choice. They're quite literally sucking off the bone tender, and as flavorful as they look. They've a decent selection of brews as well, and I'm glad that it's not heavy in hoppy selections like so many places seem to be nowadays. That's a personal choice, but a review is a reflection of personal choices. I usually end up getting fries when I'm there. A large order of fries can easily be shared by two or three people. I also like their potato salad. They don't put excessive amounts of mayo in their potato salad. I dislike gloopy potato salad, and their version puts the emphasis on the potatoes. I can also tell you that their gift certificates (available on-line) make an excellent Christmas gift for hard to please younger sisters.
This spot has been on my list to try for a long time, and finally got the chance to do so on a Monday night. The surrounding area is cute with a lot of small spots, and they have both inside and outside seating here. We got the ribs and brisket, but they only had the chopped brisket. It came on two slices of white bread, and the sauces you choose yourself on the side. The ribs were amazing -- fall off the bone tender, and a really tasty rub. Definitely get these! The chopped brisket was kind of dry but that was expected since it wasn't the standard one. The sauces are good, but beware the spicy one is SPICY.
My favorite BBQ spot in town, across from my favorite bakery. If you are into fall-off-the-bone tender and smokey meat, come and give them a try. My go-to is the ribs and (fatty) brisket. There is usually a line, but it goes by quickly. There is also a good selection of beer and cider on tap. Tip: If you come closer to dinner time over the weekend, they may run out of certain food (it was smoked wings for me).
come early to get the meats/sides you want! we came at 6:30 pm on a Sunday and they were out of all meats except brisket, pulled pork, and the chicken wings! They were also out of all mac and cheese :( luckily the brisket was DELICIOUS! super tender, soft, not even needing a knife to cut. the fat is out of this world... the pulled pork was also super flavorful, especially with their bbq sauces (og and hot) and the extra charred parts! The house potato salad was very good :) seating is self serve with utensils, trays, water, and ketchup/mustard. super spacious with lots of indoor and outdoor seating for nice days. all of the service was super friendly and they bring food to your table.
The ribs here are to die for. Soft, falloff the bone, and extremely tasty. Definitely run, dont walk! I enjoyed the side of Mac and cheese and potato salad as well to go with the rubs. The brisket and pulled pork are pretty good as well, tho slightly on the drier side. It might be because we came pretty late (7pm on a weekday) so they were about the close. Plenty of seating out at the back as well. Will definitely return again for the ribs!
